Building CO2 Dragsters

The design process will help the students understand the relationship between friction, drag and weight. The students will conduct their own research and analyze the information to select the best design for their own vehicle. The student will create sketches and drawings showing the development of the dragster’s final form. The design of this vehicle is not a linear process, it is expected that many revisions to the design will occur. Thus, each student’s dragster will have a different form that is based upon their design. Dragsters will be assembled once the “body” of the dragster is finished. All materials will be included in the building of the dragster. All dragsters will be raced on the final day.
